MAISH (Mpumalanga Artificial Intelligence Student Hackathon) is a provincial hackathon competition for student innovators, hosted jointly by Universities in the Mpumalanga province, namely: The Tshwane University of Technology, Faculty of ICT at eMalahleni campus and the University of Mpumalanga, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences in support of the National Development Plan (Vision 2030) of the Government of the Republic of South Africa by addressing Chapter 9 of the plan that focuses on “Improving Education, Training and Innovation, which is also highlighted as one of the socio-economic outcomes on the Mpumalanga Vision 2030.
